2. Data Processing & Technology
We utilize various modern technologies to provide an interactive experience. Below is how your data is handled:
- Hosting (GitHub Pages): This site is statically hosted on GitHub servers in the USA. Access data like your IP address is processed by GitHub for security and delivery.
- Visitor Counter (Firebase): We use Google Firebase Firestore for our real-time visitor count. This data is handled anonymously to prevent duplicate counting.
- Analytics (GoatCounter): We use the privacy-friendly GoatCounter analytics service. It does not track personal data or use persistent cookies.
- AI Services (Google Gemini): Our AI Assistant (Tiwut AI) communicates via PHP with the Google Generative Language API. Your messages are sent to Google for processing. Please do not share sensitive personal information with the AI.
- Shared Memory (SQLite): To optimize speed and reduce API costs, we use a shared server-side database. If a question has been asked before, the answer is served from the "Memory" cache.
3. Storage & Cookies
We do not use tracking cookies for marketing. However, we use:
- Local Storage: To remember your interface settings (e.g., if you closed a banner).
- Service Workers: For PWA (Progressive Web App) functionality, caching files on your device for offline use.
